What: A festival dedicated to the memory of the Fabulous Killjoys.
Where: Hyper Thrust, Zone 6.
When: June 12, 2020.



June 12, 2019. A day that will live in infamy in the Zones.

Most Killjoys were crushed when, just a year ago, Dr. Death Defying came over the radio airwaves of WKIL to tell the Desert that all four of the Fabulous Killjoys were killed. The memorial service last year was held at the Nest in Zone 3, as many more would follow in the year to come. Despite being a funeral of sorts, though, it was anything but somber. Killjoys celebrated the memory of the four men who started it all long into the night - a special appearance was even made by Mad Gear himself to close out the party.

The year went on. Killjoys were born, made, and ghosted. People got on with their lives.

But now it's the one-year anniversary, and the time has come once again to remember one's elders. A memorial service is being thrown at Hyper Thrust, with top-billing players such as Mau5keteer and Mad Gear and the Missile Kid. You may even get to spot one of your favorite radio DJs like Dr. Death Defying or Red Hood.

But beware. IDs aren't checked, and there are moles everywhere.

[Selfish is pretty sure he's technically not allowed in Hyper Thrust - at least not for the remainder of the week - after what he is referring to as the "Shoe Incident". Hopefully though Quarantine will let him slide for the occasion.

The memorial service is both exciting and overwhelming. Meaning that Selfish has pulled off to the side, standing by the wall near the bar with Koneko peering out of the satchel he has slung over his shoulder. He's still not all that use to crowds, after all he's kind of sort of been a hermit until the past year, but for the occasion he's going to try and bear with it.]

[This... Might not be a good move. Well. No. It's the perfect move. This was a celebration of the Fabulous Four after all, and this was the Hyper Thrust that she'd heard about while listening to Dr. D's broadcasts.

And yet Spiritual couldn't stop fidgeting with her blue-and-black checkered scarf, that is when she's not readjusting her grip on her bat. She knows no weapons are allowed in, but she wasn't exactly sure where to leave it. She and 413 haven't exactly found a safe place to call their "home" yet, and the last thing she wants to do is lose the baseball bat. Maybe there'll be some sort of "bag check"?

... And there she goes, still thinking like a city-dweller. Spirit couldn't fight down a groan as she tried to peer down the line of people waiting to get in.]

[Hm. Hyper Thrust. Famous, yeah. Crowded, most likely. Good business? Eh, probably not. But something's to be said about remembrance and shit like that, and Cash had tangled with the Fabulous before, so paying his respects once more was not remiss.

He's not one for loud music made louder with alcohol, so while he's hanging around the bar, he's probably not imbibing on anything stronger than water. Sure, he'll drink if offered, but it's better to have a clear mind should any marketing opportunities arise. Or something more... unsavory.]
